In this paper the authors have summarized certain data relative to sheep raising in various parts of the world, with special reference to Brasilian flocks. À short commentary on wool exports and imports is also included.
It is shown that losses produced by parasites are higher than those caused by all other sheep diseases. Losses, life cycle, pathology, symptomatology, descriptions and control measures are given for the more important internal and external parasites of sheep known to occur in Brasil.
