Resposta do feijoeiro à aplicação de N, P, K e calcário na Zona da Mata, Minas Gerais

Resumo

Fertility experiments to study the yield response of beans (Phaseolus vulgarisL.) to N, P, K, and lime were established on locations at Ponte Nova (two experiments), Ervãlia, Inhapim, Viçosa and Ubá in the State of Minas Gerais. The fertilizers used as sources of the above elements were ammonium sulfate, ordinary superphosphate, and potassium chloride. The limestone used was calcitic. All were applied at planting time.

Based on the results the following conclusions can be drawn:

1. Dry beans respondend well to aplications of ordinary superphosphate at all locations,

2. Response to lime was obtained only at the Vigosa location.

3. No responses were obtained to applications of potassium or nitrogen.

4. No significant interaction between phosphorus and lime was encountered.

5. Two additional plantings were made at Vigosa on the same plots without further addition of fertilizers orlime.The limed plots continuedto show yietd increases forboth additional plantings, Significant responses to phosphorus accurred only in the first re- planting, Larger response to phosphorus was observed when lime was used.
