Influência de inseticidas e acaricidas no crescimento de plântulas de cacaueiro (Theobroma cacao L.)

Resumo

The effects of foliarapplications of different commercial insecticides andacaricides on the growth of 3-months old cacao seedlings were investigated under greenhouse conditions. The pesticides were applied either as a dustor a sprayat different concentrations.

It was found that BHC, Aldrin, Diazinon, Metasystox and Mulséleo, at the concentrations and dosages used in the trials, did not impaired the growth of cacao seedlings.

However serious phytotoxic symptoms were shown by cacao seedlings treated by Folidol Oil at 0,5 and 5 per cent of active ingredient. The former concentration reduced the number of leaves, and the later one provoked yellowing, burning and killed all cacao seedlings some days after the treatment
