Nota sobre efeitos da aplicação de adubo nitrogenado e fosfatado, calcário e inoculante na cultura do feijão (Phaseolus vulgaris L)

Resumo

This paper presents the results of an exploratory study with nitrogen, phosphorus, lime and inoculant on drybean crop carried out in Viçosa, State of Minas Gerais.

Three experiments were laid out in the field and one in the greenhouse. A 2% factorial design was used. The nitrogen effect was highly significant in one field experiment (wet season) and in the greenhouse trial. Phosphorus was the only nutrient to be responsive in the greenhouse and in all field experiments. Lime gave similar results except in one late- planted field trial (dry season) in which there was water shortage.

There were interactions between nitrogen and phosphorus and also between phosphorus and lime in the greenhouse.

The degree of nodulation was generally low, but relatively better in absence of applied nitrogen. In the greenhouse experiment the presence and the degree of nodulation were dependent on phosphorus fertilization. However, the response to inoculant was very poor and no conclusive explanation can be drawn. 

This study will be continued through a laboratory trial to evaluate the inoculation effect on dry-bean plant behavior.
