Explants of about 3 mm in diameter taken from the surface of the marketable curd of cauliflower were cultured in the basic medium of Murashige and Skoog with the addition of 27 mg/l adenine, 170 mg/l NaHgPOy4, 5 mg/l indoleacetic acid, 4 mg/1 kinetin with pH adjusted to 5,7 = 0.1. The recipients containing the explants were submitted to different photoperiods and temperature regimes, at a light intensity of 4000 lux.
