Resumo

This is a descriptive work, that is meant for:
a) persuading the animal nutritionist for an exact technic of solving the mixture calculation problem;
b) training beginners in linear programation, through developing an application problem.

This work is developed with comments about the limitations from zootechnic origin, much important in making the mathematical model. The equations that controlthe restrictions in the food and nutrients proportions are also considered.

The mathematical model is an indetermined linear equation sistem, so, it is necessary a choosingrule for the best solution.

It is commented, point by point, the necessity ofan algorithm, specially the algorithm known as the Simplex Method, so as well as the necessity of a computer. It is justified by the big data volume that is supposed to be manipulated.

It is also considered the using of the program identified by the code 1130 LP-MOSS, specially about the form of data presentation and results interpretation.
