Resumo

In the present work the authors describe Scrophulariaceae and some of its genera and species. Figures are included. Keys of local genera and species are presented as well as the common name, geographic distribution, utility. The time of blooming and the way of propagation and some notes of regional interest were included. The study was carried out with herbarium species and plants collected in the UFV campus and surroundings.
