Uma abordagem sobre as necessidades tecnológicas no subsistema rural

This paper is an attemp to apply the theory of social action developed by Talcott Parsons to the problem of the adoption of technological innovations in the rural subsystem. The fundamental aspect of this approach comsists of the emphasis in the role played by the farm owmer-operators im carrying out their economic activities. The function of innovation is analyzed from the perspective of the farm owner instead of the urban-industrial subsystem. The paper alsa focuses on the rate of retum on capital imnvestimemts of commercial farms and the owner-operators orientation to the rate of retum.
