The objetives of the present paper was to study the effect of application broadcast of different types of fertilizers as sources of phosphorus,such as single and triple superphosphate, bone flour, apatite of Araxa, thermophosphate and Thomas slag, on the formation of nodules in the soybean Mineira and on the absorption of the nutrients P, N, Ca, Mg and K by this cultivation.
The doses used were 0,50 and 100 kg of P 205/ha for all of the sources in a medium texture and distrofic dark red latosol under Campo-Cerrado vegetation.
The above soil received a previous liming the amount of which were 3.2 t of limestone per hectare and also 20 kg of ammonium sulphate,50 kg of potassium chloride and 10 kg of FTE BR 9 per hectare as a basic fertilization.
The experimental design used was that of randomized blocks with split-plots in four repplications.
On basis of the results, it was concluded that:
1. The sources and doses of phosphorus have decreased significantely the weight of the nodules,the percentage of this element into the leaves and also the amount of uptake phosphorus ;
2. The sources used acted differentely in relation to the characterization of the plants, that were used. For the amount of phosphorus into the leaves, por example, the following sequence, in terms of efficiency was observed: Thermosphophate Thomas slag, Simple superphosphate, triple superphosphate,bone flour and apatite of Araxa; for the uptake phosphorus the sequency of efficiency was: Thermosphosphate, triple superphosphate, Thomas slag, simple superphosphate, bone flour and apatite of Araxa.
3. There was a tendency of increasing the amount of calcium and potassium, and decreasing the amount of magnesium in the leaves as the doses of phosphates were increased
