EMCAPA 8141 - ROBUSTÃO CAPIXABA, VARIEDADE CLONAL DE CAFÉ CONILON TOLERANTE À SECA, DESENVOLVIDA PARA O ESTADO DO ESPÍRITO SANTO / EMCAPA 8141 - ROBUSTÃO CAPIXABA: A CLONED VARIETY OF DROUGHT-TOLERANT CONILON COFFE IN ESPIRITO SANTO
Resumo
The genetic material of Conilon coffee (Coffea canephora) developed by the Espírito Santo State Research Company for Agriculture and Animal Husbandry – EMCAPA is tolerant to drought and targeted to farmers located on the driest areas of the state and without any economic condition for irrigati on . The `EMCAPA 8141-Robustão Capixaba' was the first cloned variety developed for the Espírito Santo dry regions. This new variety presents the following characteristics: short plants, suitable for cutting and high planting density; fruits ripening from May to June uniformly; median fruit sieve above 15; average productivity for regions under water stress of 54 bags (60 kg each) of processed coffee/ha, reaching a maximum of 1 l2 bags; plants with high vigour, reduced loss of leaves and tolerance to main diseases such as rust leaf.
