Análise econométrica dos mercados interno e de exportação de açúcar

This paper is intended to analyze the sugar market structure specifying and quantifing the structural parameters of the functions of total supply, domestic demand, export demand and stocks. A Nerlovian model was used with the ordinary least squares, and least squares in two stages. Secondary data were employed covering the period from 1947 up to 1973. The objectives included an evaluation of the subsidy policy developed by the Instituto do Açúcar e do Álcool.
