O silicato de sódio e seu efeito sobre a qualidade do solo-cimento

Resumo

Two soils, a clayey and a sandy loam, were treated with sodium silicate (3.2 of silicato-soda ratio) in dosages of 0.6% and 1.2%. The test specimens were molded with common Portland cement, tested with two cement contents and broken under compression at ages of 7 and 28 days. Once treated the soils were submitted to soil characterization, consistency and compaction tests.
