Resumen

Preliminary results are presented on the use of Alanap-1 as a selective herbicide on cucumbers. The treatments used were 2250, 4500, and 6750 g/ha, and a check weeded by hoe. The experimental design was randonmized complete blocks and the herbicide was sprayed on the ground two days after planting.

The abundancy of each specie was determined in the control piots and is summarized in table 1. Nutgrass and oxalis were not controled by Alanap-1.

The best control for the other species was obtained with 6750 g/ha of Alanap-1. Data are summarized in table 2.

The results obtained in this experiment suggest the application of heavier dosages for good weed control in the local conditions.
