The effectiveness of thiabendazole, benomyl and a mixture of both for control of green mold (Penicillium digitatum Sacc.) on Lima oranges was studied in experiments at Viçosa, Minas Gerais, Brazil in May and June, 1974.
Fungicides were applied in concentration of 500, 1000 and 2000 ppm; and treatments were carried out 0, 24, 48 and 72 hours after artificial inoculation. All the fungicides showed similar effectiveness when applied at 0, 48 and 72 hours, but benomyl and thiabendazole used separately were more effective than benomyl and thiabendazole mixture when applied 24 hours after inoculation.
