An experiment was carried out in Viçosa in order to determine the effect of the combination of cultivation methods with applications of Dowpon-S for the control of bermuda grass. The following treatments were designed: conventional plowing and harrowing, plowing and harrowing followed 24 days later by hoe cultivation, and third, rotary plowing. Three monts after the mechanical treatments, Dowpon-S was applied as spray at four different rates: 0 kg/ha, 4.4 Kkg/ha, 8.82 kg/ha and 18.31 kg/ha of the commercial product.
