'UFV-3', variedades de soja para o norte de Minas Gerais

UFV-3 is a new, high yielding soybean variety adapted to soil of good fertility between 15° to 17° south latitude. It has responded well to irrigation in the arid region in northern Minas Gerais. UFV-3 produced 4, 5, 8 and 31 percent more than Santa Rosa, UFV-2, UFV-1, and IAC-2, respectively, under these conditions. UFV3 has purple flowers, gray pubescence, determinate stem termination, good lodging resistance, yellow seed with a buff hilum, excellent seed quality, and high oil and protein content. The new variety is resistant to bacterial pustule, wildfire, and root knot nematode.
