Pasteurelose bovina no estado de Minas Gerais

Abstract

Hemorrhagic septicemia has been diagnosed in diffe- rent points of the State of Minas Gerais. The authors pre- sent a brief clinical study of a focus at Cachoeira Escura (Rio Doce Valley) and point out three important points:

1^st — In the disease there is no lever or little one (0,5 to 1.0 degree).
2^nd — Calves were more resistant to the infection than adult animals.
3^rd — Course was long (1-3 months) never lesser than 8 days.

The authors present also a bacteriological study of a strain simultaneously isolated from the brain and bone-mar- row of an Brahma heifer.
