Seed-tubers of Solanum tuberosum L. of the cultivars ‘Mantiqueira’ and ‘Bintje’ were stored in chambers at 5°, 10, 20° = 1°C and an ambient temperature (18° to 27°C) and kept in the dark for 154 days. Respiration rate and dry weight loss of the tubers were determined at 14-day intervals during this storage period.
