Resumen

In the present work the authors describe the families, genera and species of Chenopodiaceae and Amaranthaceae. Figures are included.

It is presented keys of local genera and species and the common mame, geographic distribution, utility etc.

The time of blooming and the way of propagation and some notes of regional interest were included.

The study was carried out with hervarium species and plants colected in the UREMG campus and surroundings.
