Valor nutritivo do capim-guatelama (Tripsacum sp.) em diferentes idades

This experiment reports data on the nutritive v: lue of guatemalagrass (Tripsacum sp.) at the ages of 21, 42, 63, 84, 105, 126 e 147 days. Data are available for the contents of dry matter, crude protein, celullose, soluble carbohydrate and "in vitro" dry-matter and celullose digestibility.
It is also presented estimates on yield of dry matter and crude protein per hectare.
Considerations are made on the dry-matter and soluble carbohydrate contents of the grass regarding its use as a silage crop.
Data presented indicate guatemalagrass to be a low yielder grass but more capable of retaining its digestibility with advance of maturity, when compared to other tropical grasses.
