Resumen

The data from nine varieties tested at forty-three environments indicated that the use of piecewise linear regression allowed identification of varieties with diffe- rent performances over unfavorable and favorable environments. However, it was not effective to reduce the deviation from regression, as compared to the use of simple linear regression.
