Abstract

A study of differential responses to salinity by the brachytic-2 maize variety «Piranão» was carried out at the Federal University of Viçosa, Viçosa, Minas  Gerais, Brazil, from October, 1974, to December, 1975.

The experimental material was produced using the Design I pattern of crosses as proposed by Comstock and Robinson. Eighty-eight males were each crossed with six different females to give 528 progenies.
