Abstract

Should industry or agriculture be the central concern of governments who wish to develop industrially? If the choice is to be made between one or the other, given the assumptions of the model developed in this paper;and the income and price elasticity estimates usually assumed for industrial and agricultural products, a government would do well to focus its attention upon agriculture.
