A study was made to determine the best method of tieing citrus grafts during the rainy season. The cultivars 'Piralima’ and 'Baianinha' were used as the scion and the Rangpur lime as the stock.
The following treatments were used: cotton twine with the grafted bud being left uncovered, polyethylene film covering the entire graft and polyethylene film with the grafted bud being left uncovered.
The treatment using polyethylene film to cover the entire’ bud was significanthy better than the other treatments, giving an average of 93% live grafts.
