Samples of 2- month-old guatemalagrass, (Tripsacum fasciculatum Trin), were used as substrate in a study of fermentation periods by the artificial rumen technique. Fermentation periods studied were 24, 36 and 48 hours. A linear increase in the nin vitron digestibility of dry matter and cellulose was observed.
